Numerology Art, AIA Tour, and Beads of Courage Challenge
This fall, Potekglass is buzzing with creativity and exciting events! From Malcom's ongoing exploration of numerology in his art to the Beads of Courage Challenge, we have something for everyone. Whether you're interested in hands-on glass workshops, art showcases, or supporting a meaningful cause, Potekglass is the place to be.
New Work by Malcom Potek
Malcom's series of 12 pieces inspired by numerology continues with the unveiling of "2." This second piece in the series explores opposing relationships, shedding light on how these dynamics shape our understanding of self and others. Be sure to visit our studio to see this exciting new piece and experience the full series as it unfolds. Appointments are available for a personalized viewing.
Potekglass on the AIA Tour
We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s AIA (American Institute of Architects) Tour, where visitors can experience the beautiful design of our space in collaboration with Petterson/Keller. The tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the artistic synergy of architecture and glasswork. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible!
Art in the World: Norwood Viviano
This month, we’re showcasing the incredible work of Norwood Viviano, a contemporary glass artist known for his innovative kiln-cast and blown glass sculptures. His Global Cities installation highlights dramatic population trends across the world, exploring themes of urbanization and shifting demographics. Viviano’s sculptures fuse traditional glassmaking with modern technology, creating visually striking pieces that encourage reflection on societal changes. His work has been featured at the Corning Glass Museum, the Chrysler Museum of Art, and the Venice Biennale.

Beads of Courage Challenge (September 22)
We’re excited to host the Beads of Courage Challenge on September 22nd from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This special event invites bead artists from Minneapolis to create one-of-a-kind glass beads that will be given to children facing serious illness.
