Moving Sale, New Work & Bead Bazaar

New Work by Malcom Potek
Malcom’s latest creation, the Blue Moon Bowl, is a stunning example of customized color blending. This one-of-a-kind bowl features a cosmic texture, perfect for adding a subtle touch of elegance to any space. The Blue Moon Bowl is 15" round and 4" tall, priced at $325.

Lowry Avenue Building Update
The remodel of our new studio is moving along, and we’re on track to open in December! Get ready for a fresh new space with new classes starting in the new year. Stay tuned for updates and check out the progress as we transition to our new home.

Potekglass at the Bead Bazaar
We’ll be at the Bead Bazaar in the Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center on October 27th and 28th. Stop by Malcom’s booth to see our latest glasswork and enjoy special deals. We look forward to seeing you there!

Art in the World: Almeric Walter
This month, we highlight the work of Almeric Walter, a master glassmaker who rediscovered the ancient technique of Pâte de Verre in the early 1900s. Known for his work with the Daum Crystal Company, Walter brought Pâte de Verre to the forefront of the glassmaking industry and became a key figure in the Art Nouveau movement.

Class Highlights:

• Basics from Boron (Sat. 11/3/18 @ 10 AM): Learn the fundamentals of glassblowing in the scientific tradition. Students will sculpt small paperweights and experiment with blowing small glass objects. A great beginner class!

• Our Last Class in the Sky: Don’t miss your chance to visit our current studio one last time before we move. This final Try-It! class is a proper goodbye to the space that has served us so well.
