Art, Classes, and Holiday Shopping at the European Christmas Market

This holiday season, Potekglass invites you to share the experience of art with friends and loved ones. From our stunning new custom sink, "Orange Intersecting Blue Sink," to exciting opportunities for learning and gift shopping at the European Christmas Market, there’s something for everyone!

New Work for the New Studio
As we move into our new studio on Lowry Avenue, we're excited to showcase a custom sink, Orange Intersecting Blue Sink, that will be installed in the studio once we open. This beautifully crafted sink features a unique blend of vibrant orange and blue glass, making it a stunning addition to our new space. Be sure to stop by and see this beauty in person when we open!

Potekglass at the European Christmas Market in St. Paul
We’re thrilled to be part of the European Christmas Market at Union Depot in St. Paul! Visit Malcom at the Potekglass booth on the East Plaza for the next two weekends:

• Dec 7 - Dec 10

Upcoming Classes at Potekglass
Potekglass offers a variety of exciting classes for artists of all levels, from beginners to more advanced glassworkers. Check out our upcoming workshops:

• Beadmaking Workshop with Malcom Potek

  • Dates: Jan 10, 17
  • Time: 6:00 - 9:00 PM (each session)
  • Cost: $285 for 4 sessions, Member price: $256.50
  • In this beginner course, students will learn to create precise patterns, beads, and surface designs using techniques like precious metal glass and silver foil decoration.

• Basics from Boron Try-iT!

  • Sat. 12/22/18 @ 10 AM
  • Learn the basics of borosilicate glass by creating paperweights, ornaments, and small sculptures.

• Kiln Try-iT!

  • Sat. 1/12/19 @ 10 AM
  • Explore kiln-forming techniques by cutting patterns, making frit, and creating glass tiles in the kiln.

• Italian Soft Glass Try-iT!

  • Sat. 1/26/19 @ 10 AM
  • Learn how to gather molten glass on a torch, apply surface decoration, and create between 6-12 beads.
