Art in the Shop: Potek Pendant Lights
Our Potek Pendant Lights are an exciting feature in the Schoonover Residence, a custom lighting project that reflects the personal aesthetic of the client. Malcom Potek designed these pieces with a focus on balancing beauty and functionality, proving the power of personalized lighting to enhance any space. Artist in the World: Kristina Logan
Kristina Logan is a celebrated bead artist whose work blends cultural influences with a passion for ornamentation. Her bead-making journey spans across the globe, and she has taught workshops in places like Corning Museum of Glass, Urban Glass, and the Penland School of Crafts. Logan’s art connects people through its beauty and intricacy, and she continues to inspire glass beadmakers worldwide. Check out her upcoming course at the Corning Museum of Glass from January 23-28, 2023, and learn from this visionary artist.

Falling Leaves in Striking Colors
Thursday, November 17th
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Cost: $115 (non-members), $103.50 (members)
Create beautiful fall-themed pendants using borosilicate glass in striking colors. This class focuses on using flame and gas mix to achieve vibrant colors and sculpting techniques to create stunning pressed glass leaves. Projects will be kiln-annealed and ready for pickup the following week. Intermediate level class.

Stained Glass 3D & 2D Snowflakes
Thursday, December 15th
Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Cost: $95 (non-members), $85.50 (members)
In this Make iT! Course with visiting artist Samael Leopold-Sullivan, learn cutting, foiling, soldering, and creating beautiful 3D snowflakes. Participants will leave with at least one completed ornament. Bring your own supplies and glass, or pick it up from Potekglass ahead of time. Intermediate level class.

Cracking the Kiln Code: Fusing and Slumping
Starts Saturday, January 7th
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4-week course)
Cost: $175 (non-members), $157.50 (members)
Explore the world of kiln-forming glass! This course covers everything from tack-firing to slumping, mold-making, and testing for kiln hot and cold spots. Certification in this class allows participation in Kiln Open Studio and Free Glass Fridays. Beginner level class + Kiln certifying.

NEW! Open Studio: Mosaic Meetup
Every Last Wednesday of the Month
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Cost: $35 (non-members), $25 (members)
Join our Mosaic Open Studio Session and collaborate with other artists. This monthly meetup is facilitated by Sushila Anderson from the Minnesota Mosaic Guild and is open to all levels. Bring your own tools and glass, or use our studio tools and materials. The upcoming guild theme is MASK, so let your creativity flow! Space is limited, so reserve your spot ahead of time.
