Art, Custom Glass, and Upcoming Classes

May is here, and at Potekglass, we're embracing creativity with exciting new projects, classes, and opportunities to engage with the community. Join us for a celebration of artistry and craftsmanship as we continue to explore the possibilities of glass and design.

Art in the Shop: Up in the Trees
This beautiful custom glass piece, created for a bedroom door, captures the serene beauty of birch trees in fall. The design offers privacy while still allowing natural light to filter through, providing an elegant touch to the home. The project incorporates various glass techniques to replicate the delicate details of the trees, creating a peaceful ambiance for the space.

Artist in the World: Sibylle Peretti
Sibylle Peretti, an artist living in New Orleans, is known for her captivating glass sculptures. With an MFA in Sculpture and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cologne and a Master in Glass Making from the State School of Glass in Zwiesel, Germany, Peretti's work is both thought-provoking and innovative. Her latest exhibition, Loveland, currently showing at Callan Contemporary in New Orleans, features beautiful glass sculptures like Haze and Siblings, which delve deep into themes of form, space, and human connection.
