Art in the Shop: Sarah Phillipps
We are thrilled to introduce Sarah Phillipps as the newest addition to the Potekglass team! Sarah brings a wealth of stained glass experience and a love of creativity to the studio. She will be assisting with administrative duties, shipping, and helping customers with stained glass questions. Sarah’s love for stained glass started in 2011, and she has expanded her knowledge of copper foil and traditional lead came methods. Alongside stained glass, Sarah enjoys other crafts such as watercolor painting, jewelry making, and photography. Her work, including a custom stained glass sun catcher and a Boba Fett light box, is a beautiful reflection of her diverse artistic talents.
Artist in the World: Richard Posner
Richard Posner (1949–2011) was a pioneering American artist known for his glass and ceramic works with deep social and political commentary. One of his most notable pieces, "Another Look at My Beef with the Government," is part of the Picture Window series. Posner’s works are recognized for their intellectual depth and stunning use of glass and photography. His unique perspective on contemporary issues continues to inspire artists and art lovers alike. Posner's work "The Persistence of Vision" is another example of his innovative use of stained glass, combined with Cibachrome and Fresnel lens.
