Art in the Shop: Custom Art Sconces
Malcom Potek is bringing light and warmth to St. Paul with three custom-designed sconces that were created for a local home. These beautiful sconces, installed in a stunning three-season porch, were designed in collaboration with the homeowners to reflect the ambiance of their space. The intricate designs were carefully executed to enhance the aesthetic of the home, making these sconces a perfect example of how Potekglass brings both function and beauty to life.
Artist in the World: Tim Carey
Tim Carey is a talented painter, stained glass artist, and fused glass expert based in Los Angeles. Known for his "quest for light-infused artworks," Carey’s work often uses layers of frit and paint to create intricate glass pieces. His process is a unique blend of technology and artistry—starting with designs made on Photoshop and progressing through layered glass, frit, and firing in the kiln. His works like Thin Man and Amber Glow showcase his mastery of light and color, making him a highly regarded figure in contemporary glass art.
