Art in the Shop: Mid Century Modern Flair in St. Anthony, Minnesota

Recently, we completed Mid-Century Modern stained glass panels that have found their perfect home in a beautiful St. Anthony residence. These retro-style pieces were designed to transform the space, and their impact speaks to the magic of stained glass. These works remind us how color and light can elevate any room and make it feel like home.

Artist in the World: Christine Barney

We are honored to feature Christine Barney, a highly accomplished glass artist with over 40 years of experience. Her works delve into the relationship between color, form, and light and are inspired by her family’s legacy in the glass industry. Christine’s sculptures, such as "Spin" and "Lively Conversation", embody a sensory experience and explore themes of growth, transformation, and the fluidity of time.

We have an exciting lineup of classes for the upcoming months, from beginner to advanced techniques. Whether you’re looking to learn stained glass, kiln work, or refine your glass cutting skills, we have the perfect course for you!

Icicle & Skier Ornament Make-iT! Workshop

• Date: December 2, 2023 | Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Price: $95 | Member Price: $85
• Level: Participants must have taken a Try-iT! class or have previous torch work experience.
• Details: A fun, hands-on class where you'll create icicles and skier ornaments while mastering heat and flame control. Perfect for handmade gifts this holiday season!

Kiln Try-iT! Glass Class

• Date: January 6, 2024 | Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Price: $95 | Member Price: $69
• Details: This introduction to kiln-forming glass will have you creating a 5" x 5" tile that will slump into a functional catch-all dish. Learn how to cut patterns, make frit, and use various glass formats.

Make iT! Stained Glass Snowflake 3D & 2D

• Date: January 11, 2024 | Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Price: $95 | Member Price: $85
• Details: In this workshop, you’ll create 3D snowflake ornaments while practicing cutting, foiling, and soldering techniques. Perfect for winter décor or gifts! Beginning Stained Glass required.

Mastering the Art of Glass Cutting with Joe Ring

• Date: January 20, 2024 | Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Price: $195 | Member Price: $176
• Details: This intensive class is perfect for beginners and experienced glass crafters looking to improve their cutting skills. You’ll learn how to cut accurate strips, curves, and circles, and use the Flying Beetle System for perfect cuts.

Open Studio: Practice Your Skills

• Price: $35 (non-members) / $25 (members)
• Details: Open Studio sessions allow you to practice your kiln, torch, or mosaic work. Use our studio equipment and collaborate with other artists. Torch and Kiln certification required for these sessions.
