Art, Classes, and Year-End Deals

As we wrap up another exciting year at Potekglass, we’re celebrating with new art, unique glass classes, and year-end promotions. This December, don’t miss our Candle Holders collection, featuring two new designs, and a spotlight on the impactful work of artist Ted Sawyer. We’re also offering incredible deals on gift certificates and classes, just in time for the holidays.

Art in the Shop: Candle Holders
Potekglass introduces two new candle holder designs: Blue Flame and Peppermint Twist. Each candle holder is hand measured, cut, and fused in the kiln before being slumped over a mold to create the perfect spot for a candle. These pieces bring light and warmth into your home with their stunning, vibrant colors and thoughtful design.

Artist in the World: Ted Sawyer
Ted Sawyer is an influential Minnesota-born artist now based in Portland, Oregon, and the Director of Research and Education at Bullseye Glass Company. Sawyer’s work features glass paintings, often intended to be viewed from both sides, revealing different perspectives as you shift your view. Through his use of colored glass powders, Sawyer’s pieces evoke the beauty of imperfection, celebrating the cracks and flaws in life that allow for growth and transformation. is (front and back) is an example of his technique, where the fusion of glass and the change of perspective allow the viewer to appreciate its depth.
