Stained Glass Sale, New Classes & Artist Features
July is here, and Potekglass is celebrating with a fantastic 15% off sale on stained glass sheets, exciting new summer classes, and highlights of the work of talented artists. We’re also offering more opportunities for you to get creative with our Free Glass Fridays and kiln rental options. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, we have something for everyone.

Art in the Shop: Your Glass Art!
Want to create your own glass art? We’re here to help you bring your visions to life! Join us for Free Glass Fridays, where you can work on your fused glass art using our Bullseye scrap glass. It’s a fun and creative way for all levels of glass artists to explore the world of glass fusion. You can also rent one of our kilns for a firing cycle if you'd like more time to complete your project. This month, we’re featuring Janice Cloutier’s creation made during Free Glass Fridays. She used a couple of 10”x10” clear glass sheets and a mix of colorful scraps and stringers to create a beautiful flower garden. The piece was a masterpiece after it was fused in the kiln! Even Janice’s granddaughter was amazed, exclaiming, “You made that?!”

Artist in the World: Josephine Geiger
We’re excited to highlight Josephine A. Geiger, a stained glass artist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Geiger creates stunning geometric and abstract landscapes using leaded glass. With an impressionistic eye, she uses bold rectangles and squares of colored light to form beautiful panels. Some of her featured works include:

• Aspen Trail (Leaded glass, 18.25 x 20.75)

Upcoming Classes at Potekglass
We have a variety of classes this month to help you expand your glassworking skills.
Kiln Try-iT! – Beginner’s Fusing Class – Saturday, July 23rd
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Cost: $95 (non-members), $69 (members)
This class introduces kiln-forming techniques, where students will learn to cut glass patterns, make frit, and create a customized glass ring dish. By the end, you'll be certified to join our Kiln Open Studio and Free Glass Friday sessions.

Stained Glass Leaded Window – Intermediate – Thursday, August 18th
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (4 sessions total)
Cost: $115 (non-members), $103.50 (members)
Learn traditional stained glass window creation using lead came and zinc. Students will design their own pattern (24" x 24" max), cut glass, and assemble their window. This class requires a soldering iron, glass cutter, and other materials, which will be discussed in the first session.

Free Glass Fridays – Torch & Kiln – Every Friday, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Cost: $35 (non-members), $25 (members)
Bring your own tools or borrow ours for a 4-hour session working with a variety of glass types. We provide Bullseye, Italian soft glass, and borosilicate glass for your projects.

We’ve rounded up a collection of one-of-a-kind stained glass sheets from US producers like Kokomo. These beautiful streaky, cathedral, opalescent, and antique sheets are perfect for any glass project, whether you're a beginner or an experienced stained glass artist.
