Glass Classes, Summer Camps, and Art Shows in April!

Spring is here, and Potekglass is packed with exciting glass classes, upcoming events, and creative opportunities! Whether you're interested in learning new glass techniques, attending an art show, or signing your kids up for summer camp, we have something for everyone.

Art in the Shop: Scandinavian Tiles
Explore our collection of Scandinavian Tiles inspired by Swedish, Finnish, Danish, and Norwegian designs. Each 10" x 3.5" tile brings a unique artistic touch to your space. These one-of-a-kind pieces are now available in our shop.

Artist in the World: Nathan Sandberg
Nathan Sandberg is a contemporary kiln-cast glass artist whose work is filled with movement and patterns that draw the viewer's eye. With a background in glass and ceramics, Nathan’s work often mirrors the dynamic nature of the world around us. His modern Vitrigraph techniques, developed during his time at Bullseye Glass Company, continue to inspire artists worldwide. Nathan's work is currently being showcased at Bryan Oliver Gallery and has been featured at the Bellevue Arts Museum.

Upcoming Classes at Potekglass

• Kiln Try-iT! (Sat 6/1 | 10 AM - 1 PM): Learn the basics of kiln-forming while creating a ring dish using sheet glass, frit, and other formats.
• Basics from Boron Try-iT! (Sat 4/27 | 10 AM - 1 PM): Dive into borosilicate glass as you create a paperweight, an icicle ornament, and experiment with small objects.
• Italian Soft Glass Try-iT! (Sat 5/4 | 10 AM - 1 PM): Master the basics of soft glass beadmaking and surface decoration, with the chance to create up to 12 beads.
• Special Mother's Day Pendant Try-iT! (Sat 5/11 | 10 AM - 1 PM): Celebrate Mother's Day by making a unique pendant using kiln-forming techniques. Create patterns, colors, and rhythm to craft a one-of-a-kind piece.
• Marbles 101 (Thurs 4/4 - 4/25 | 6:00 - 8:30 PM): This 4-week course focuses on mastering marble-making with patterns such as vortex, implosions, twists, and raking.

Private Events at Potekglass
Potekglass is the perfect place for your next group outing! Book a private event and learn the basics of glass while making custom creations, such as pendants, tiles, or beads. It’s a great way to bond with friends, family, or colleagues while getting creative!

Cast Your Summer in Glass: Kids Summer Camp
From July 8th to 12th, our Kids Summer Camp is back! Led by local artist Malcom Potek, kids will explore the creative process and learn how to work with clay, glass, and other materials. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Malcom creates an enriching environment for kids to learn new skills, spark creativity, and make lasting friendships.

Minneapolis - St. Paul Home Tour 2019
Potekglass is a featured stop on the Minneapolis - St. Paul Home Tour! Visit us during the weekend of April 27th and 28th for a guided tour of our new studio in the Flux Arts Building. See how we’ve transformed the space and check out some of our latest creations.
