Migration or Zion
Seven Saucer Lights Installation
Designed for the Flux Arts Building, this installation takes as its theme the motion of traffic on Lowry Ave NE. Approximately 14,000 cars travel down this stretch of Lowry every day. This rhythm is the melodic line that underscores the work. Historically Northeast has been a neighborhood of immigrants and this continues to this day. The color work attempts to reflect this diversity along with the movement of the seasons and its tie to the Mississippi river.

Little Monsters *

Gather your friends for a ghoulish good time this Halloween season! Capture the ghostly spirit and create glow-in-the-dark pendants. Focus for these mini-misfits will be Glo-powder and Thompson Enamel application and techniques, basic sculpture color striking and annealing.
*Note: Participants are required to have previous experience with glass or participated in a Try-iT session. Consider brushing up at an upcoming Italian Soft Glass Try-iT!
Colorful Falling Leaves *
Sat 11.2 | 2pm - 5pm
As the atmosphere changes and the leaves transform in color, so too does the striking palate of this American hard glass Borosilicate. Create a pile of one-of-a-kind leaf pendants all your own. Focus will be on the flame's atmosphere and gas mix. Learn to strike color in boro.

Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from a master and work at your own speed on your own project. Malcom will keep a watchful eye while giving you the freedom to explore!
